Year 12 Applications for September 2025
Applications for Year 12 2025 open on Tuesday 22nd October and close on Friday 10th January 2025 at midday. Please read all the information on this page carefully, including our 2025/26 admission arrangements before submitting your application.
The admission number for Year 12 is 175. This is the number of places which will be offered on an annual basis to eligible internal and external applicants. (external = students who are not already on roll at Trinity Academy).
6th Form school tours for those students who were unable to attend our Open Events will be available by request to sgrant@trinityacademybristol.org from the 6th January 2025.

6th Form Taster DayA morning to taste 6th Form life at Trinity Academy including the opportunity to experience taster lessons, to talk to subject leaders and understand more about A levels.
Open to Trinity students ONLY who considering Trinity 6th Form.

Closing date for applications - Midday Friday 10th January 2025Applications submitted after the deadline will be treated as late. Incomplete applications (i.e. those started before the closing date but not completed on-time) will also be treated as late. On results day we will process late applications after on-time applications and cannot guarantee a place. We will be in touch as appropriate with updates on the admission process as the year progresses. |

GCSE results dayAs soon as GCSE results are known, students should confirm their intention to take up a place via the online admissions and enrolment portal and upload evidence of their results. Details will be updated as the year progresses. To enrol, please login to your application from 08:00 on Results Day. |
September 2025 |
Induction Day for Year 12Details to follow enrolment. Our Year 12 induction process will include a trip away with the opportunity for students to get to know each other. |
Entry Requirements
- To be eligible to enter the sixth form, both internal and external students will be expected to have met the minimum academic entry requirement at GCSE which is at least five grades at 5, 5, 5, 5, 5 and a 4 in English Language or Literature.
- Students meet the course entry grades for the subjects applied for as specified in the courses guide for each subject (and summarised in the table below).
- Students may choose up to 4 A Level subjects..
- Whilst every effort is made, admission to Trinity Academy 6th Form does not guarantee entry to the courses as offered in the prospectus. Entry to courses is subject to sufficient student numbers, relevant staffing and the availability of specialist accommodation that is cost effective.
- Changes to courses following discussion with students will only be permitted if there is room in the intended class and that altering the course does not involve unreasonable disruption to the learning experiences of other students.
- If a course is unable to run, due to insufficient numbers, Trinity will contact students concerned in the first instance.
